Well, what a week!
Just been away for five days to the KBB show in Birmingham, and what a few days it has been.
As you build up to these shows, there is always a sense of trepidation. The bring away from home for a while, that is something I never liked, I enjoy my creature comforts of home and my dog.
Day one is always enjoyable to get your bearings and find your feet ( and they get a pounding as well )
It always feels a longer walk in and out than I remember, nearly one and a half miles. So double that every day.
Day two is the Gala dinner, so up later than most and then onto day three. Nearly home only tomorrow to go, the theory of getting the leading players there on the last day will be borne out tomorrow.
Day four of the show and pack up the hotel room, get to my car and home. I cannot wait to drive home, sad really. My feet hurt, my back hurts, I realise that I am not in my twenties anymore. I feel mentally and physically tired.
Nearly home and supper is on the way.
I’m home, one happy dog and I am relieved that we are back. Feel very tired and now to have asleep in the armchair, if the dog allows me.
I was working from home the next day to try and catch up. Still tired.
Day off tomorrow.
I am signing off.
